Bonded Thread

Bonded thread produced by Jiangsu Dixiang New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-performance sewing thread manufactured through a special bonding process. Its inner core is made of high-tenacity polyester yarn or high-tenacity Nylon 66 yarn, with a water-soluble TPU coating applied on the surface, forming a multi-functional bonded thread product that combines both strength and functionality.

Key advantages of bonded thread:

Non-splitting and non-fraying – The bonded thread is heat-set and bonded, resulting in a stable thread structure that prevents untwisting and wrinkling during sewing, fundamentally solving the problems of thread separation and breakage.

High strength and abrasion resistance – Using high-tenacity polyester or Nylon 66 as the base material, it offers excellent tensile strength and significantly better wear resistance than ordinary sewing threads, capable of handling high-load and high-friction sewing applications.

UV resistance and anti-aging – The polyester bonded thread for outdoor use has excellent UV resistance, remaining free from brittleness and discoloration even after prolonged exposure to sunlight, making it an ideal choice for tents, outdoor equipment, and similar products.

Excellent sewing performance and strong three-dimensional effect – The stitch is neat and straight, producing a pronounced three-dimensional appearance after sewing, which significantly enhances the quality and grade of finished leather goods, luggage, footwear, and other products.

Selection guide:

Outdoor exposure scenarios (tent fabrics, outdoor equipment): polyester Bonded thread is recommended;

Leather goods, footwear, sofas and other scenarios requiring elasticity and flex resistance: Nylon 66 bonded thread is recommended;

Conventional leather goods and luggage (most common scenarios): 420D/3 is sufficient for the vast majority of applications.
